Scholarship Fund

There are few things as important to success in life as a quality education.  Preparing men and women to enter the work force as qualified professional technicians is the driving goal of Universal Technical Institute, NASCAR Technical Institute and Motorcycle/Marine Mechanics Institutes.  Helping students pay for this high quality education is the driving goal of the UTI Foundation Scholarship Fund.

The cost of education continues to grow nationwide, and often the cost of training is not attainable for qualified and motivated students.  The UTI Foundation Scholarship Fund administers all named scholarships for UTI students. The goal of the Scholarship Fund is to assist students who would not otherwise be able to complete post-secondary education.

The UTI Foundation Scholarship Fund:

  • Solicits contributions from corporations, individuals, including alumni and employees, other foundations and the government.
  • Provides full or partial scholarships to cover tuition costs for the program a student desires, and
  • Provides general assistant grants to cover non-tuition expenses such as housing, equipment, etc.

Review and selection of scholarship and grant recipients is made by the UTI Foundation Scholarship Committee.  The criteria used to select students for assistance includes:
Demonstrated financial need;

  • A high level of commitment to the fields;
  • A positive attitude;
  • A track record of professionalism and responsible behavior, and
  • A letter of recommendation by a teacher or employer.

The foundation staff works with donors to identify areas of need and to help them fulfill their philanthropic goals in compliance with IRS regulations.  It is the policy of the UTI Foundation Scholarship Fund not to discriminate against individuals on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, sex or national or ethnic origin.
